Discovery Corporate and Employee Benefits Speed Quiz Competition – HR Indaba 2025 Competition Terms and Conditions.
Please read these Competition Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) carefully. Participation in this Competition will constitute your agreement to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not participate.
All participants during the term of this Competition agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Competition
The competition will be known as the Discovery Corporate and Employee Benefits Speed Quiz Competition at HR Indaba 2025 (“Competition”).
The organiser of the Competition is Discovery Corporate and Employee Benefits, a division of Discovery Limited, and/or its agencies (“Organiser”).
2. Competition Period
The Competition will run on 14 October 2025 during the HR Indaba 2025 event (“Competition Period”). The Organiser may extend or shorten the Competition Period at its discretion.
3. Who May Enter
To be eligible, participants must:
Be citizens or legal residents of South Africa.
Be 18 years or older on the date of entry
The following are excluded from participation: employees, directors, partners, agents, suppliers, and agencies of the Organiser, as well as their immediate family members.
4. How to Enter
To enter the Competition, a participant must:
Visit the Discovery Corporate and Employee Benefits stand at HR Indaba 2025.
Scan the QR code on the stand to access the Speed Quiz mobisite.
Complete the Discovery CEB Speed Quiz by answering all questions within the allotted time.
Submit their details on the mobisite once the quiz is complete.
Only one entry per participant is allowed.
Incomplete, duplicate, or invalid entries will be disqualified.
5. Prizes
Participants who successfully complete the Speed Quiz will be entered into a lucky draw to stand a chance to win one of the following prizes (“Prize”):
Two Apple iPad 11th Gen devices
The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any alternative.
Prizes may differ from images used in promotional or display material.
6. Draw and Winner Selection
The draw will be conducted after the conclusion of HR Indaba 2025.
The draw will be managed internally by the Organiser.
Winners will be notified via SMS, email, or phone call using the contact details provided during entry.
Prizes will be couriered to winners after the event.
If a winner cannot be reached within 10 working days, the Prize will be forfeited, and another winner may be selected.
The Organiser’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, participants indemnify the Organiser against any claim, loss, or damage arising from participation in this Competition or from acceptance of the Prize.
The Organiser accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete due to any technical or network failure.
8. Data Use and Marketing
By entering the Competition, participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal information by Discovery Corporate and Employee Benefits for the purposes of managing this Competition.
Participant details may also be used for future marketing and lead generation activities, provided that the participant has opted in when entering.
All personal information will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
9. Consumer Protection Act
This Competition is conducted in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
No provision of these Terms and Conditions is intended to contravene the applicable provisions of the Act, and all provisions must be treated as qualified to the extent necessary to ensure compliance.
